could be a year end closeout and the 2018s are coming or whatnot, but still that is not good at all!

The discounts aren’t even the only thing worrying there. Alfa Romeo is supposed to be a premium import brand, and premium import brands aren’t supposed to have cheesy local dealer ads like that. Cadillac and Lincoln, sure, par for the course, but not the ones that are supposed to be Alfa’s peers.

read fine print: This is on a 27 mo LEASE. at 10K/yr and $2000 down. Yeah, its a good deal, but only on a very limited lease. Also, good luck finding a RWD base Giulia. it seems 90% of the ones for sale (at least in New England) are AWD.

It seems more like a “seriously come try it, it’s just a lease. You’ll like it I promise” than a oh shit we gotta move this junk.

There are actually a lot of RWD’s down here and the local dealer is advertising it as a feature - but there are very few bases - pretty much all Ti.

Regular marketing = “hey come check out our car”
$10K off MSRP in the debut year = “holy shit this is a disaster HELP”

Maybe being in the Boise market doesn’t help. I mean I know Boise isn’t some backwater town but it’s not really the Chic Urban buying center they are aiming for I think.

Oh I didn’t even look at where it was from. That probably has something to do with it, though I still think this is a bellweather for the whole brand
